Our weaves
blank

It all starts with the raw material, virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE), of TOP QUALITY, to which specific additives are incorporated to stabilise it and make it resistant to UV radiation degradation.

It is an inert polymer, which can be used in direct contact with plants; it is completely recyclable and has good mechanical and thermal properties (tensile strength, elongation, softening point).

Our netting manufacturing process is fully computerized. We use modern extruders with computerized process control to obtain the yarn, which is then wound.

We use looms of different widths and technologies to weave weft and warp monofilament yarns and manufacture meshes in different widths and weaves (flat, gauze, or in combination with Raffia), reinforcing edges and ends to give them greater strength and durability.

Among the types of weaves used in agricultural nets, the following stand out:
– Flat weave, or plain weave: warp and weft yarns are interwoven. Yarn density is expressed as yarns/cm2 or mesh.

– Gauze or twill: the warp yarns are doubled and twist one over the other in such a way that they imprison the weft yarns, giving greater stability and strength to the mesh. Yarn density is expressed as yarns/cm2 or mesh.

These are flat woven nets, which act as a physical barrier preventing both the entry into the greenhouse of insect pests or small virus vectors such as aphids, leafminers and whiteflies, as well as the exit of beneficial insects.

Its 40 mesh [16×10] yarn density combines excellent insect control and adequate ventilation.

Mallas Mosquitera / Cortaviento 17 Mesh [7×5,5]
Mosquito / Windbreak Netting 17 Mesh [7×5,5]
blank

Mosquito/windbreak netting can be used as an anti-insects netting (mosquito netting), constituting a physical barrier that prevents or reduces the entry of insect pests of a certain size inside the crop protection structure (greenhouse, screen house), or as a windbreak netting or preventing or reducing the damage it causes on the crop (broken branches, falling flowers and fruit, increased evapotranspiration). They are flat woven.

Anti-Hail Netting 13 Mesh [5×4]
blank

Anti-Hail netting is woven in gauze or twill. This type of weave, with double yarn in the warp direction, which imprisons the weft yarns, gives it greater stability and resistance to withstand and resist the impact and weight of hail or hailstone.

In addition to this protective function, they are used in fruit trees to protect against insects of a certain size such as Carpocapsa or apple moth (anti-Carpocapsa mesh).
