Netting for Greenhouse Horticulture
The netting used will depend on the crop and the pests that affect it: For protection against very small insects that are vectors of viruses, the densest netting, 50 and 40 mesh, are recommended. To protect against larger insects such as some flies and lepidoptera, 25 and 17 mesh nets can be used.
The most effective protection is provided by BioNet® photoselective netting, as it alters the insects vision, as well as acting as a mechanical barrier by hindering the insects’ ability to see.
